After entering Clients and Lenders into the Main Database, it's time to begin work on an actual real estate closing. RxClose allows the settlement agent to work with either the HUD-1 or the HUD-1A. Genlex finds either of these forms to contain enough suitable information to create any other real estate form. The form shown above is the HUD-1. This view is the first of four main entry screens for the HUD-1. Because of its smaller size, the HUD-1A only consists of one entry screen. Begin by entering a File Number. This File Number will be the central element of any search that a settlement agent performs. Everything a settlement agent enters must be related to a particular File Number. The lookup list to choose which File Number the settlement agent would like to work on... After entering a File Number, simply TAB through each field and enter the appropriate data. Each label next to each data entry field describes the type of data that needs to be entered. Now draw your attention to the Borrower, Seller and Lender buttons, and imagine you just clicked one of them...
