Display a Printer Frieldly versionJurisdiction CodesUse this program to enter/edit the Jurisdiction Codes used for CA2000W.
Entering Jurisdiction Codes1. Enter a Jurisdiction Code. This field will apply to the location of the court for a matter. If using the Docketing program, the jurisdiction is needed.2. Enter a Jurisdiction Description. This field is the full name of the Jurisdiction and it's official title. 3. Enter in the appropriate address, phone and fax information where applicable. 4. Save the entry by clicking the Save Button. (TOP) Editing Jurisdiction Codes1. Call up the record by finding or entering the jurisdiction code. You may not change the jurisdiction code that is being used.2. Change the fields to be edited. 3. Press F2 or click on the Save button to save your changes. (TOP) Searching for Jurisdiction Codes RecordsTo Search using the Function Keys 1. Place the cursor in either the Jurisdiction or Description fields. Enter the desired data and press F9. Use F8 to go to the next record and F7 to go to the previous.2. The search is started against the first most matched record to your entered criteria. For example, entering "A" in the field and then pressing F9 will bring up the first record beginning with A. To Search Using a Selection List 1. Click on the Selection List Button located at the end of the Jurisdiction or Description fields to display the Law Jurisdiction Lookup Dialog.2. Do one of the following: a. Click on the desired Jurisdiction or Description and then click on the OK button. b. Click on the Search button, enter the Jurisdiction or Description and click on OK. Click on OK a second time to select the record. (TOP) Deleting Jurisdiction Codes Records1. To delete a Jurisdiction Code record, find the jurisdiction code record and, with the cursor in the code field, press Shift+F2. You may not delete a Jurisdiction that is in use.(TOP) Law Jurisdictions View Fields
