Display a Printer Frieldly versionClient InformationUse this program to enter/edit the ID, Name, and Rate(s) for all Clients.
Entering Client Information1. Enter the Client number. The Client Number is a caps lock field and is limited to 6 alphanumeric characters. An alpha code or Last, Last, First initial could be used here. For example, if the Client was John Smith, the Client Number might be SMJ. SM for Smith and J for John. If the Client was an Organization or Company, an appropriate 3 letter abbreviation would do. This makes searching for the Client a little easier than having to reference a file number. 2. Enter the Full Client Name. This field should contain the client name as it is normally written. Precede the client last name with a backslash as in the following example: JOHN \SMITH It will automatically appear on the next line as: SMITH, JOHN 3. Enter the Attention Name. This is an optional field and should contain the full name of the contact person. 4. The Date Created is automatically initialized to the present date when the record is created. 5. The Date Updated is automatically updated whenever the record is saved. 6. Enter the remaining information as needed, including Address, Phone numbers and Internet communications. These fields are optional for the program to run. (TOP) Editing Client Information1. Call up the record by finding or entering the Client number. 2. Change the fields to be edited. 3. Press F2 or click on the Save Button to save your changes. (TOP) Searching for a Person Information RecordTo Search using the Function Keys 1. Place the cursor in either the Client Number field, or the Client Last Name Field. Enter the desired Client Number (or Name) and press F9. Use F8 to go to the next record and F7 to go to the previous.2. The search is started against the first most matched record to your entered criteria. For example, entering "A" in the Client number field and then pressing F9 will bring up the first person id beginning with A. To Search using a Selection List 1. Click on the Selection List Button located at the end of either the Client Number Field or the Last Name Field to display the Client Lookup Dialog.2. Do one of the following: a. Click on the desired Client and then click on the OK button. b. Click on the Search button, enter the Client number (or name) and click on OK. Click on OK a second time to select the record. (TOP) Deleting Client Information1. To delete a Client record, delete all matters associated with the client first. Neglecting to do so will not allow you to delete the client. 2. Find the Client record and, with the cursor in any field, press Shift+F2. (TOP) Client Information View Fields
